After a long and successful career on Wall Street, Lindsay founded Heeltap! Entertainment as a development company, searching for rights, intellectual property and other assets that could be transformed into mass media entertainment projects. Heeltap!’s first film project was creating and co-producing the Emmy Award(R) winning 61* for HBO Films. 61* was developed from first-hand accounts of the legendary 1961 New York Yankees season and the battle by Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle to break the greatest record in all sports – the single season home run record held by Babe Ruth. Directed by long-time Yankee fan, Billy Crystal, 61* today is on every “Best Sports Films” list.
Lindsay was next introduced to the Ripley’s Believe It or Not® entertainment platform, where he was offered the post of Director of Licensing. Realizing that Ripley’s was one of the only world-wide recognized media platforms without a major motion picture deal, Heeltap! developed a feature film and sold that project to Paramount Pictures.
Heeltap! next obtained the rights to the life story of basketball great, Wilt Chamberlain for the Chamberlain Estate, which had never granted anyone the rights in the past. Goliath® was created with co-producers Showtime Network, Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison and former Boston Celtic great, Kevin Garnett’s Content Cartel. Goliath® was Emmy Award® nominated for Best Sports Documentary Series.
Currently, Heeltap! is developing best-selling author of all time, James Patterson's 5-book, 7 million copies, young adult series, Witch & Wizard® as an animated series, and is producing a dynamic music documentary and “duets” album for the estate of legendary blues musician B.B. King with music impresario, Vassal Benford. An 8-part mini-series adapted from the best seller, Swoosh! on the founding of Nike Corporation is also currently in development with Village Roadshow. The Chelsea Football Club has hired Heeltap! for a series on the team and the club, and a host of other projects are keeping Heeltap! in the forefront of high quality, media development.
