Untitled B.B. King Project
Born on a cotton plantation in 1925, Riley B. King would grow up to become B.B. King and the greatest blues guitar musician there ever was. Self-taught on his legendary “Lucille” guitar, King’s music and riffs became an inspiration for a whole generation of musicians like Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, John Mayer and legions of others. All Music named him the “greatest guitarist of all time.” The Library of Congress awarded him the Living Legend Award while President Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian award. The B.B. King documentary will trace the inspiration for King’s music and pair his performances with today’s musical stars for a “duets” album.
